The Spring School offers the highest quality of Montessori education beginning at 18 months and all the way through 8th Grade. There are extended hours before and after school, and vibrant programs all summer long.

A hands-on curriculum brings concepts to life for all ages - mathematics and literacy, of course, but also foreign languages, physical education in a state-of-the-art gym, Suzuki music, a variety of fine arts, and rich exposure to science and history.

Preschool scientists study animal cells through the microscope and explore meteorology by making it rain. They experience cultures from around the world through dance, food, and costume. They listen to music from Bach to Miles Davis, and sculpt, paint, and create pottery as they learn about Monet or Leonardo.

The Spring School's unique Timeline curriculum exposes Elementary and Middle School students to the history of life on Earth and Great Civilizations, with an emphasis on the history of science and technology. They mix cement using an Ancient Roman recipe and build the walls of Rome; make paper with Egyptian papyrus; repeat Galileo’s experiments with pendulums; churn butter and grind wheat as 18th century Americans did; rehearse scenes from Shakespeare’s Macbeth; explore Faraday’s principles of electromagnetism by building telegraphs and generators, and much more.

Middle School students complete a 5 year cycle in American History and also in World History. A 5 -year cycle of laboratory science covers Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, and two years of Physics. 8th graders hone research skills with “Senior Theses.”

In Mathematics and Literature, each and every student works through the structured curriculum at his or her own pace, following an individualized work contract made just for him or her. There’s plenty of one-on-one help when concepts are tough, and the ability to progress rapidly through the structured curriculum when they come easily. Kindergartners add and subtract four digit numbers, while 4th graders are often ready to begin Algebra!

Experience their classrooms, where each student may be working on something different, in a calm, productive environment where students of all levels thrive and are friends.
