Kangs Martial Arts offers 2 exciting opportunities for young children; a training program for beginners stepping onto the martial arts mat for the very first time, and a more advanced program for the experienced student, looking for that competitive edge.

Kangs has a qualified staff that teaches your child life skills, such as confidence, focus, better attention and listening skills, enhanced coordination, and discipline to help prepare them for the upcoming school year.

The Tiger Program, for 4-7 years of age, is the beginner’s program for young Taekwondo Warriors. In Tiger Cub classes, the focus is on introducing your child to behavioral priorities like courtesy, politeness and attentiveness. Additionally, foundational blocking, punching and kicking techniques are taught. Students will learn forms (patterns) along with basic mat techniques for self-protection. Students are taught to count in Korean and will also learn basic Korean terminology. Children enjoy exercises that increase their attention span and alertness.

The Children's Program, 8-12 years of age, builds focus, concentration and discipline. Programs are designed with Bully Prevention in mind and a full curriculum of the “Fundamentals” for Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do is taught, blending their arts into a complete system. The physical activities of blocking, striking, joint locks, mat work and the myriad of kicks not only improves individual self-defense but also agility, strength, flexibility and overall fitness. Most importantly, it can be very helpful in increasing self-confidence in children.
