Family owned Apple Montessori has set exceptional standards in early childhood education for over 45 years. The schools offer infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten and elementary programs for ages 6 weeks - 12 years (6 weeks - 6th grade). Apple makes the most of the critical early learning years from birth to age 6, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and helping children reach their fullest potential. The programs are research-proven, their team loves what they do, and the schools are safety-certified. Many Apple team members have been with the school 5, 10, 20 and even 30 years.

Research shows Montessori children have an advantage academically, socially, emotionally, and beyond. Not all Montessori schools are the same. Apple is the oldest and largest Montessori school in Northern New Jersey offering Montessori Plus curriculum. The stimulating and challenging curriculum is adapted to a child’s own particular needs and learning pace. The emphasis on the “whole child” ensures he or she develops a strong work ethic, an independent spirit, creativity, respect, and compassion for others… all in a caring, safe and fun environment.

There are several things that make Montessori different from traditional schools. First, they have special games and materials that have been made and designed specifically for young children. Each game teaches a particular skill through active hands-on involvement. A child learns the easiest and fastest from birth to six years of age than in any other time of life. The second characteristic that makes Montessori different from traditional preschool is that they allow each child to develop at his or her own pace. The child may go as quickly or as slowly as they may need to without any pressure. The child is not pushed to move ahead before he/she is ready. This is how they develop strong confidence and self-esteem. The child also learns that learning is fun!

Apple’s unique reading program yields great success with their four and five years old students. In addition, Apple Montessori School offers Fastracks, an e-learning gifted and talented program, art and music enrichment, second language study, yoga and much more. Infant and toddler programs foster independence and facilitate developmental milestones. Apple enforces NJ's School Safety and Security best practice guidelines and offers parent perks like live parent video monitoring and parent seminars.

During the months of July and August, they have a summer camp program serving students ages 2 through 12. Most of their locations have a swimming pool and teach daily swimming lessons. The pool has been uniquely designed with safety in mind for young children. The summer program is jam-packed with fun AND learning with field trips, in-house events, theme weeks, Arts & Crafts; Nature & Science; Cooking; Music; Dance; Computers; and Organized Sports. Half day sessions are also available, as well as before and after school/camp programs. They are open from 7am - 6:30pm.
