Ahhhhhhh. Just sat down for an evening round of blogging after checking out the cable show Rescue Me. My apologies to my trainer and friend Jonathan in advance. I know that "he who is not to be named" isn't your favorite person in the world (to put it lightly)…but it really is a good show…and I am glad that it is back. For those of you who don't know…it's an hour long show on the FX channel about a squad of firefighters right here in the heart of NYC. It has it's funny moments, it's dramatic moments and a whole lotta "HOLY SH*T" moments. Very often it has all three in the same episode. This is the last season too…so if you've never seen it before…definitely check it out before it's too late. (Wednesday Nights at 10pm…check your local listings…lol). A problem that I always had during my life-long struggles with my health and my weight…has been finding the time to exercise. I've talked about this before. I don't think it will ever change. The funny thing is that while I can't seem to find time to work out…I always seemed to find the time to watch a little TV. Talk about needing to get your priorities straight. Well what I do nowadays…and something I highly recommend…is combining the two. Working out WHILE watching TV.

That way you don't miss out on your favorite shows…AND you don't have to miss a workout. It's a win-win. PLUS…you would be surprised how much easier a workout can seem when you have something else to hold your attention. Before you know it the credits are rolling and you are hot, sweaty and DONE for the night. Give it a shot sometime. I think you will be happy with the results. Of course this really applies more to anyone working out at HOME. I don't want anyone's personal trainers or gym managers mad at me because their clients said I recommended lugging a big screen to your local Planet Fitness…LOL. Definitely feeling accomplished tonight too…because to be honest I was seriously close to skipping my workout tonight. Got my walk in this morning as usual, but I didn't sleep well last night. And by the time I got out of work today, travelled into Queens to visit my mom, AND take the loooong train ride home…all I could think about was going to bed. I don't think anyone would have said a negative word to me if I did either. But now that all is said and done…I am very glad that I pushed through. You are either doing it or you're not as a wise man once told me…and tonight…I was doing it.

Well that's it for me. Tomorrow is another day. The Warrior Dash is coming and the battle rages on.

Thanks for checkin' in…and now, to bed….g'nite all!
