Well here we are...the Witching Hour is upon us once again. These days are just flying by lately and it seems like I can consider myself lucky if I can get a blog done before midnight. Well yesterday was the Warrior Dash for me...a huge milestone in my life...I may have mentioned it once or twice in my blogs. Ha ha ha. Now today, just like after the Yankee Stadium run last week, I am trying to figure out what's next. I have always done so much better in my own personal little journey towards better health and fitness when I had a goal to aspire to. The Yankee Stadium run was definitely a great goal to set for myself, and I am already looking forward to next year. But it was the Warrior Dash that was my unfinished business. Now that it is done...as proud as I am of myself for training for it and completing it strongly (if I do say so myself)...there is just kind of an empty space there. Picture Captain Ahab finally getting Moby Dick...or Wile E. Coyote finally catching the road runner (for those of you who prefer a good cartoon to a good book - LOL). I think they'd be ecstatic for a second...and then it would be...okay, now what? And that is where I am at the moment. I would like to think that I have gotten to a point in my life where I am able to challenge myself every now and then...and overcome those challenges.

So now I am just looking for that next big challenge. I will keep my eyes open. Please feel free to let me know if there is anything out there that you can suggest...I am open to just about anything. In the meantime, I am going to treat tomorrow like the start of any other week. That means getting my walk in in the morning (regardless of the monsoon they are predicting out here!), watching what I eat all day, recording all my calories, and finishing the day strong with a workout in the man cave before I go to bed. I am sure that there is something out there for me to tackle between now and next year's Warrior Dash...and when it comes along I want to be ready for it. I also don't want to lose sight of another personal goal of mine...which is to be under 200 pounds for the first time in my adult life. And just like there was a medal for the Yankee run last week AND a medal for the Warrior Dash yesterday, (they are hanging side by side in my room by the way) there will be a special prize for me when I hit that 199 pound milestone as well. I will let you in on what it is...just not yet...maybe when we get a little bit closer. Well, it's been another long weekend....with a looooong week ahead at work. My bed is calling me (LOUDLY) and it would be rude of me not to answer.

Hope you had a great weekend...thanks for checkin in!
