Okay....a quick word of advice for anyone out there who is watching their weight. And I know this probably goes without saying really. But when you're pressed for time and really need something to eat...no matter how bad things get...avoid fast food places like the plague. Even what you might think is a "good fast food place" like saaaay, Subway for example. I am definitely a breakfast person....always have been. Usually I will start my day off with some protein...egg whites to be more specific. Well today I woke up late and didn't get a chance to cook. When I got to the city, I was on the way to my office when I passed a Subway. I must admit that their breakfast sandwiches always look good on TV...AND they are totally affordable, when a LOT of places are NOT these days. So anyway, back to my morning "Subway-ride." I ordered egg whites on a 6" flatbread with spinach, onions and tomatoes....total of only 300 calories. I wish I could tell you it was good though...but I would be lyin. Ewwwwww! Not to bash on Subway, because for all I know it could have just been one bad sandwich, but this one was NOT good. Soggy flatbread (they microwaved it instead of toasting it), runny eggs, loosely placed veggies so that it was messy as hell...definitely disappointing.

THAT's what happens to me when I choose a certain place because of money (or lack thereof) over quality. So that started me off in the wrong direction right off the bat this morning. But walking to the train, walking to my office from Penn Station and getting downstairs for a little while on my own tonight definitely went a long way in righting the ship for me. I am officially wiped out now, and sooooo looking forward to getting to bed that it isn't even funny. Very happy with myself for finding the time for a few good workouts today, despite the fact that I began my night job today for the next two weeks or so...ugh. Going from your day job to your night job with very little time to spend with your family is NOT fun! The good news here (for me anyway - lol) is that I have a rare day off tomorrow! WHOOO HOOOOOOO!!! Looking forward to maxin, relaxin and most importantly, to catching up on sleep! Also hoping all of this hurricane stuff they are predicting for our area this weekend is just a whole lotta hot air...so to speak...lol. Have a great weekend everyone...I'm sure I will be talkin to ya!

Thanks for checkin in folks!
