Back to the Routine
With Hurricane Irene a soon to be distant memory and the clean up from her visit nearly complete, today was all about getting back into my old daily routine again. Got up bright and early this morning and fought all of the delays along the way to get myself to work in my office. Managed to get alot of work done despite it being a Monday. Then trudged AAAALLLL the way back out to Long Island to get myself home again. I made sure to avoid temptation and save a few bucks by eating breakfast at home, and then bringing my lunch and a snack to work with me. Kept it nice and simple too. Egg whites and whole wheat toast to start off the day. Salad and a sandwich for lunch. Fresh strawberries and a granola bar for a snack. And just like that...TA-DAAAAAAA...we are right back on track again. LOL. The one down side to this day...because it wouldn't be a Monday without a down side...
...is that I had to go out to work my 2nd job tonight. The hurricane made going out on Saturday and Sunday damn near impossible...so that time has to be made up somewhere...lucky me. Just crawled through the front door at about 3am. Have to be out the door by 6am to get into the city on time for work, which means this is probably going to be an all-nighter for me. Mondays...UGH. Oh well, we do what we have to do to get by. At least I am back on track again. That fact was especially obvious to me when I got on the scale this morning and saw ...very happily...that I am down two full pounds. YEEEEEEES....it took me a little while and a whole lot of hard work...but I am finally seeing those numbers creep on down. I think that is it for me for the night folks. I won't even tell you what time it is right now. Let's just say I am reeeeaaaally tired and need to get some sleep.
