Back to Basics...
Now that is what I am talkin about! Finally saw a little bit more of a decent drop on the scale this week. I have to say that I have been waiting impatiently for that to happen for the past few weeks now. Not that it is necessarily a HUGE change or anything. But I feel like I am pushing myself pretty hard from a physical standpoint these days...and last week for all my efforts I stayed exactly the same. So trust me here, I will happily take what I can get. These last 20 or so damn pounds do NOT wanna come off me...and they have made it pretty clear that they ain't goin without a fight. Luckily I am always ready to fight the good fight these days. Slowly or not...I willl make sure that those pounds are gone...and stay gone. Then I become what my trainer and I call "a true champion." At that point I will also reward myself with something special to honor my journey and my struggles to get to my goal weight. What might that special thing be you ask? Thanks for askin...lol...but I am not talkin just yet. I will save that answer for another blog post. Soon though...patience dear reader. Anyway...dropping a pound and a half was a good way to start off my new day.
I got home SUPER late from my second job last night and rather than tease mysel by only sleeping for an hour or so, I decided to head down to the man cave for a quick workout. So aside from an exciting message from my scale (lol), this morning consisted of a 2 mile walk, a circuit with the cards AND 100 reps with weights. Not a bad way to start out the day. Now staying up all night for work takes its toll on a body lite anything else does. So let me just say that I am TOTALLY wiped right now! Been trying to write this post for an hour, but I keep nodding off at the computer! Ha ha ha ha. Mission accomplished though. Blog is written, meals have been wisely chosen...and now it is time for a well-earned sleep. Going to crash out a little earlier than usual tonight. I definitely need the rest. I will get up early again tomorrow and start the day with another gym session. Just to get my ":inner furnace burning" as my trainer would say. But as for tonight I will go to sleep with a smile on my face.I am still in the right direction. Stil fighting towards my goal. One step closer to getting there. Can't wait....glad you have decided to come along for the ride!
