Dr. Diane M. Ashton

Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Diane M. Ashton is the deputy medical director of the March of Dimes. Prior to working at the March of Dimes, Dr. Ashton spent much of her career working in public health and in the public hospital system of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, which serves as the safety net for NYCís multicultural and ethnically diverse population. After receiving her undergraduate degree in biology from New York University, Dr. Ashton received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York and completed her clinical training in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Lukeís-Roosevelt Hospital Center in NYC. She earned a masterís in public health from Columbia University School of Public Health.
